The police in Uttar Pradesh have apprehended an individual for allegedly recording a woman while she was bathing at a hostel in Azamgarh.

The suspect, identified as Himanshu Rai, reportedly resided in the same hostel with his family in the Heerapatti colony and had been engaging in such activities for approximately a year.

According to police reports, a Class 10 student discovered the hidden camera and promptly informed fellow students, who then assisted in capturing the suspect.

It has been reported that the accused had been intimidating female residents, threatening to make the videos public if they reported him.

Authorities have confiscated 40 pornographic videos from his mobile device and laptop.

A senior police official confirmed that the suspect was caught in the act, and multiple videos were retrieved. He mentioned that the accused is currently under interrogation, and the electronic devices have been forwarded for forensic analysis.
